AI & Automation

AI and automation, without the noise

A clear, honest path from “what's our AI strategy?” to systems that move your bottom line. You're not buying AI — you're buying relief: a strategy that's real, and that's working.

Start With a Conversation

You're not buying AI. You're buying relief.

Every leadership team is feeling the pressure — from the board above, from competitors across the table, from their own people inside. We cut through the hype and give you an honest read on where AI and automation actually help, where plain automation is the smarter answer, and where the right move is to wait.

Why Firethorne for AI & Automation

Trusted, not transactional

You already know we won't sell you something you don't need. In a market full of overpromising, that's the scarce thing.

A proven method, not guesswork

We don't pretend to know your business on day one. We have a disciplined way to find out — fast — and the math to back what we recommend.

Four lenses, one team

Engineering, data, finance, and compliance at the same table — backed by real, shipped production systems, not slideware.

AI only where it earns its place

A lot of the best automation isn't AI at all. If something has no clear, demonstrable, measurable impact, we don't build it.

The Throughline — how we work, every time

One disciplined method runs through every engagement, from first conversation to live system. No guesswork, no hand-waving — and the ROI math shown at every step.

  1. 01

    Map

Learn how work and money actually move through your business.

  2. 02

    Model

ROI modeled three ways, math shown — your CFO can pressure-test it.

  3. 03

    Architect

Automated where it should be, AI only where it earns its place.

  4. 04

    Govern

Compliance, audit trails, and human approvals built in from the start.

  5. 05

    Compound

Deploy in modules — each one makes the next faster.

Each step earns the next

You only go as far as it makes sense. Nothing past the first step gets priced until the ROI math is on the table — start small, prove it, then compound.

  1. 01

    Alignment

Three honest questions, answered. Is this even the right move for you right now?

  2. 02

    Roadmap

A build-ready plan you own, with the ROI math shown — not a slide deck.

  3. 03

    Implementation

We build and deploy the highest-value system first, inside your existing stack.

  4. 04

    Partnership

An embedded capability that keeps shipping, aligned to the outcomes it produces.

Three honest questions

Most engagements start with an Alignment session — a short, focused conversation that helps your leadership team think clearly about AI and automation, and leaves you with an honest, written read on where you actually stand. A conversation, not a commitment.

01

What do you think AI and automation are?

We get everyone on the same page about what's real versus hype — and where plain automation, not AI, is the smarter answer.

02

Is AI right for you?

An honest assessment of where it could help — including "not yet," or "only in this one place." No forcing a fit.

03

Are we right for you?

You decide, with no pressure. If the answer is no, we'll tell you — and you'll still leave with something useful.

You walk away with a board-shareable Alignment Brief — where you stand today, where AI and automation could help, where they're not the answer, and a clear go / not-yet / no recommendation. If the answer is no, we'll tell you.

Frequently asked questions

What's the difference between AI and automation — and which do we need?

We treat them as different tools for different jobs. A lot of the highest-value work is plain automation, not AI — and it's cheaper, simpler, and more reliable. We recommend whichever actually fits, and we bring in AI only where it earns its place. Figuring out which is which is exactly what the first conversation is for.

What is the Alignment session?

It's a focused, paid engagement that helps your leadership team think clearly about AI and automation — cutting through the noise. Over two short sessions we work through three honest questions, then hand you a board-shareable written brief: where you stand today, where AI and automation could help, where they're not the answer, and a clear go / not-yet / no recommendation. There's no obligation to go further.

What if AI isn't the right move for us right now?

Then we'll tell you. The whole point of starting with an honest assessment is that it can land on "not yet" or "only here" — and that's a perfectly good outcome. We'd rather give you a clear no than sell you a project that won't pay off.

How do you keep AI safe to use?

Governance is a built-in step in our method, not an afterthought. Human approvals on consequential decisions, audit trails, and compliance considerations are designed in from the start — compliance is one of the four lenses we bring to every engagement. For regulated organizations, we add a compliance overlay tailored to your obligations.

Do we have to buy a new platform or replace our systems?

No. We build inside the stack you already run. We start from what you have, automate and augment where it pays off, and avoid forcing you onto a new platform you'd have to buy and learn.

How does this relate to your other services?

AI & Automation builds new capability into your business. If you also want a partner running and supporting your applications day to day, that's our Application Management Services practice — the two complement each other, but you can engage either on its own.

Want a partner to run the applications underneath all this, too? See Application Management Services →

Let's start with a conversation, not a commitment

Tell us where the friction is. We'll give you an honest read on whether AI, automation, or neither is the right next move — and the math to back it.
